This customer designed geocoin celebrates the Book of Kells, an ancient illustrated religious text in the Anglo-Celtic tradition. The Book of Kells features the synoptic gospels in handwritten Latin script with hundreds of human and animal forms in Celtic decorative motifs. For hundreds of years it was stolen and hidden and buried, dug up and re-stolen but finally it was collected by the Bishop of Ussher and later donated to Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, where it remains on display today. The front of this beautiful geocoin is from F29 - the center right roundel of the opening words of St. Matthew.
