The Wright Brothers Memorial has two benchmarks. Both are located at the top: one is a disk, and the other is the very top of the beacon light housing. Both benchmarks are depicted on the front of this coin. It also has the coordinates for each one. The top coordinates are for the disk, and the bottom coordinates are for the beacon. It also has an image of the Wright Flyer. All three of these images are made in wonderfully detailed 3-D craftsmanship.
The back of the coin has a highly detailed 3-D image of the Art Deco door. This door is at the base of the memorial and leads you to the stairs that take you to the top of the memorial where the benchmarks are located. Also on the backside is the commemorative phrase wrapped around the door in a similar manner of how it is engraved in stone around the actual memorial.
